AMON AMARTH Complete Drum Tracks For New CD

May 29, 2004

Sweden's AMON AMARTH have finished recording the drums for their upcoming album, "Fate of Norns", "and at the moment the guitars are being put on tape," according to a posting by vocalist Johan Hegg on the group's web site. "Next week we'll start recording the bass and vocals. Everything is running according to plan, and we've even managed to write a totally new song in the studio that may appear on the album."

The follow-up to last year's "Versus The World", "Fate of Norns" (which refers to the three Norns — or "godesses of fate" — Urd, Skuld and Verdandi, who, in Scandinavian mythology, sit at the root of Yggdrasil — the world tree — weaving the fate of every man) is being recorded at Berno studio in Malmö, Sweden. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "An Ancient Sign of Coming Storm", "The Fate of Norns", "Arson", "Sealed In Blood" and "The Valkyries Ride".
